Lee Douglas Interiors is a full-service residential and commercial interior design firm serving clients, builders, and independent designers. Our stores are open to the public and feature furniture, lighting, accessories, and artwork.
We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Installation Specialist to join our team. This role works closely with our warehouse and delivery team but requires someone who is confident working independently and takes pride in precision and craftsmanship.
The Installation Specialist is responsible for the safe handling, delivery, and installation of furniture, artwork, draperies, blinds, and other design elements in client homes and job sites.
Key Responsibilities
• Install artwork, draperies, blinds, and window treatments
• Assist with furniture delivery, assembly, and placement
• Complete light remodel tasks including demo and trim work
• Follow daily schedules and complete installations efficiently
• Ensure proper handling and protection of all products
• Collect payments when required
• Support warehouse and delivery operations as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, wall fasteners, and anchors
• Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16 inch
• Comfortable working on ladders and in tight or enclosed spaces
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Carpentry or installation experience preferred
• Experience installing draperies, blinds, or window treatments preferred
Bonus Experience
• Warehouse or merchandise handling experience
• Construction or remodeling background
• Cabinet installation experience
• Experience driving larger vehicles (CDL not required)
• Familiarity with warehouse tools and equipment
What to Expect
This is a physically active, hands-on role in a fast-paced environment. The position requires being on your feet throughout the day, lifting and maneuvering materials, and working in a variety of environments including client homes and construction sites.
Local travel between Omaha and Lincoln is required, with occasional overnight stays for project work or market trips.
Candidates must be dependable and report to work on time as scheduled by management.
