Lee Douglas Interiors is a full-service residential and commercial interior design firm serving clients, builders, and independent designers. In addition to our design services, our stores are open to the public and feature furniture, lighting, accessories, and artwork.

We are seeking a talented Associate Interior Designer to join our team and work alongside a Lead Interior Designer on a variety of projects. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates confidently, and is eager to be involved in all aspects of the design process. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to work beyond standard hours when needed to meet project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Designer through all phases of design, from concept development to project completion
• Prepare design presentations, assist with material selections, and complete project documentation
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless execution
• Create floor plans, elevations, and renderings using design software
• Manage project details including budgets, timelines, and specifications
• Source furniture, fabrics, lighting, and accessories
• Support in-store and client meetings, including presentations and proposals
• Participate in site visits, installations, and final styling

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 1–3 years of experience in a professional interior design setting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Revit, or Chief Architect
• Strong knowledge of textiles, furniture, lighting, and materials
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and adapt as needed
• Strong interpersonal and selling skills
• Detail-oriented with a passion for design and client experience

Additional Requirements

This role requires working both in client homes and on construction sites. Candidates must be comfortable in a variety of environments, including varying temperatures and noise levels.

The position includes standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying materials, and completing detailed work at a computer.

Occasional overtime, local travel, and overnight stays for market trips may be required. Candidates must maintain reliable attendance and adhere to schedules set by management.
