How to wrap empty boxes for utter amazement!

This is kind of silly, but wow, does it make a difference. Every year the holidays sneak up on us (or at least me). There are weekend gatherings, parties, etc. and before you know it, there it is, the tree with a great skirt and nothing under it. I know that sounds ridiculous (like who cares), but the presentation is so great when you look like you’ve got it all together!

So fake it.

Wrap empty boxes and take your time to make them look good. Go get some gorgeous wired ribbon and detail those empty boxes like you mean it. Then (here is the best part)…store them and every year pull out those beautifully wrapped “gifts”, fluff the bows, and finish off your decorated tree (I’m so busted).

Tips for the trickery:

– Buy nice wrapping paper and small quantities of different patterns and colors.

– Get some boxes of all sizes.

– Use two sided tape or roll your tape, so the method is invisible.

– Grab lots of patterns of wired ribbon.

– Wrap and ribbon the larger presents, but leave off the bow (they are on the bottom of the heap).

– The smaller the present, the more the adornment.

– Place them under the tree, on the mantle, around the house- wherever you need some finishing touches.

Yes, of course I have all my shopping done…Whatever, I’ll be out there shopping with you on Christmas Eve!
